Hello!

My name is Sophi Kravitz. I’m an engineer, artist and entrepreneur. The word entrepreneur sounds a little BIG and GRANDIOSE to describe myself since I mainly support myself working 3 days a week in Technical Sales.

NOVEMBER 2012 UPDATE: I QUIT MY DAY JOB!! I now work my ass off as an electrical engineering consultant, blogger, product designer and most recently, analytical marketing for new product development (I aspire to tell companies whether or not their product will make money).
My goal is to completely support myself selling the products which I have designed.

Many of us have wanted to stop working for other people for years but we just can’t figure out how to do it. Stopping is easy especially since so many of us got laid off in the past few years with the US downturn, supporting yourself while doing it is not.

The trouble that we all have is that our financial support is a full time endeavor. If you are a driven and motivated entrepreneur type you want to excel at your full time job, which involves working late and checking in on the weekends. Note to Europeans: this is the USA and we work on weekends. We get 2-3 weeks of vacation a year. On the plus side, we get a ton of sick time which you can be made to feel guilty about.
